Karen Lur

Karen brings on board over 22 years of experience in human resource consulting and management in the consultancy, recruitment and life insurance sector. Karen’s vast experience in human capital development includes the review, development and implementation of human resources processes including competencies development, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, talent management, leadership assessment and coaching.
Prior to working independently, Karen was a Director with Manulife Insurance Singapore, where she led and managed the human resource and office services functions. This was preceded by a tenure with Manpower Inc. Asia Office as the Regional HR Manager overseeing the human resource function in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines Thailand, India, Hong Kong and China.
Since 2015, Karen has been supporting both SMEs and MNCs in building their capabilities in human capital. She is also a SPRING/Enterprise Singapore (ESG) appointed SkillsFuture Mentor, who assists local enterprises to create a development culture through guiding and coaching them to design and implement a robust learning and OJT process. She has collaborated with companies from the precision engineering, business services, construction, logistics, regional merchandising as well as chemical sector.
Karen has completed an ICF recognised professional coaching training and she has since worked with both local companies and MNCs, coaching the senior management on career transition as well as leadership development. She is also certified as a Senior Professional by Institute for Human Resource Professional (IHRP) and a Professional Singapore Certified Management Consultant (PSCMC) by TÜV SÜD.
Karen attained her Master of Science in Asia Pacific Human Resource Management from National University of Singapore (NUS). She also has a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), on top of her Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University.
