Unitech has a group of loyal customers who have been working with them for over 10 years. However, they are only serving 5% of the entire market due to limited resources.

Apart from that, most of Unitech’s employees are foreigners. The cost for maintaining a foreign worker is high as it encompasses the monthly salary, levy, accommodation, transportation, and swab test for COVID-19 etc. Furthermore, there are low levels of interest among Singaporeans to take up jobs for technicians and site supervisors. This is due to the lack of recognition, career progression and perceptions that these jobs are meant for foreign workers. Additionally, the focus on Human Resource (HR) practices in Unitech is weak.

Human Capital Consulting

In order to meet the huge market demand for Unitech’s services, we helped to look into solutions, such as Human Resource Planning.

We assisted to create a Recruitment Plan and incorporated structured interview techniques to reduce hiring biases. Besides that, we helped to develop a Staff Retention Programme that focuses on learning opportunities, company culture and career progression. Through our advice, Unitech also enrolled into Workforce Singapore’s P-Max programme to better recruit, train, manage and retain their newly hired Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs).

Process Management

We evaluated the suitability of their current online software that is used to plan and follow up with projects. On top of that, we helped to sort out some software functions to better assist them in their work.
